March 22, 2010 marked the formal launch and blessing of DWRS, a livelihood project of DFI.
It has been the dream of Damascus to have a livelihood project that will help us in our feeding program provide additional funds for our other projects. This project also aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to our wards and their families, and for parents to have an opportunity to earn from selling the water.
This will not have been possible if not for the generosity of our benefactors, Atty Luciano Joson Jr. for donating the water filter machine that uses 21 stages of filtration and reverse osmosis systems and FILIBATA Foundation of the Netherlands, that provided the funds used to repair and renovate the building of the water refilling station.
